Designer - S. Jensen

Designer - Søren Georg Jensen (1917-1982)

Søren Georg Jensen was the fifth of Georg Jensen’s six children. He trained to become a silversmith and was apprenticed at the Georg Jensen Silversmithy from 1931 to 1936. He later trained as a sculptor at the Kunstakademiets Billedhuggerskole (Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Sculpture) in Copenhagen from 1941 to 45 and had his work exhibited beginning in 1944 at The Charlottenhorg Spring Exhibition in Charlottenborg Denmark.

In 1949, he returned to the Georg Jensen Silversmithy and from 1962 to 1974, was the artistic director, taking over from Harald Nielsen, his uncle.

Sizing Guide

Ring, pendant & necklace size reference

Being Danish, Georg Jensen jewellery uses European Ring sizes for their products (all our other jewellery is measured in UK sizes). The chart below can be used to help choose the size that fits you best.

We would always suggest getting your finger measured professionally where possible or purchasing a cheap set of ring sizers online before deciding.

Alternatively, cut a piece of paper roughly to the width of the ring band you are interested in,  wrap it around your finger making sure it can slide over your knuckle and mark and measure it where it overlaps. To be sure you can then sellotape or glue it to this size and test it over your finger. This will give you the Internal ring measurement in mm, which can be referenced on Google etc. For the European or UK equivalent.
