Georg Jensen – Moonlight Blossom Pendant – Design 9A, Silver

MOONLIGHT-sterling silver and precious stones come together in designs created over a century ago

The MOONLIGHT collection exhibits the fundamental qualities of the Georg Jensen brand like no other collection
Jensen created many of the designs in this collection himself in the early 1900s. Some are newer styles the original works inspired.

The amazing thing is that whether the piece is an original or a reworked style, it always feels current and contemporary.
MOONLIGHT shows that beautiful, masterful design never goes out of fashion. The stones and silver come in several combinations so that there is truly something for everyone.

The name comes from a quote from Georg Jensen in which he compares sterling silver to the glow of the Danish moon.

The pendant elegantly hangs from the sterling silver pea chain necklace.

Georg Jensen Jewellery

Georg Jensen, the Company is considered one of Denmark’s most famous and influential design brands, known across the globe, but it started off as one man, Georg Jensen Himself.

He was born in 1866 in Radvaad, a small town north of Copenhagen. He began training as a goldsmith at 14, also studied sculpture and applied arts and then trained with a master silversmith. In 1904, he decided to open his own silversmith business.

As the business grew, he employed silversmiths to do the smithing while he concentrated on drawing, designing and business. This trend continues right up to the modern day with the company working with world renowned artists, jewellers and architects to create inspiring and unusual designs.

Georg Jensen died in 1935, but this Iconic brand goes from strength to strength.

Sizing Guide

Ring, pendant & necklace size reference

Being Danish, Georg Jensen jewellery uses European Ring sizes for their products (all our other jewellery is measured in UK sizes). The chart below can be used to help choose the size that fits you best.

We would always suggest getting your finger measured professionally where possible or purchasing a cheap set of ring sizers online before deciding.

Alternatively, cut a piece of paper roughly to the width of the ring band you are interested in,  wrap it around your finger making sure it can slide over your knuckle and mark and measure it where it overlaps. To be sure you can then sellotape or glue it to this size and test it over your finger. This will give you the Internal ring measurement in mm, which can be referenced on Google etc. For the European or UK equivalent.
